The province of Cadiz has very interesting grounds from where tourists and other kinds of visitors can enjoy their time. Chiclana is one of the cities that you will find in Cadiz Bay and which is home to great lots of interesting stuff. Among the attractions that you will find within the city include convents, churches and towers. The gastronomy of the city is also very interesting as it has some of the very fine sea and land products.

Places to visit

Sancti Petri: this is an island that you will find in Chiclana on its front coast. It is on this island that the Hercules Temple once was and it has made it famous for this reason. This is because the temple was very famous in all of Western Mediterranean since the Trojan War times. You will now find a castle on the temple ruins although it is old dating back to the 13th century. The views from the island are simply breathtaking with the sunsets from here being the most beautiful.

La Barrosa Beach: this 8 kilometer beach in Chiclana has a European Union Blue Flag because of its quality. Cleanliness within the beach is amazing and is what earned it the credit as well as the respect that it has for environment in general among many other services which are offered in high quality. It is therefore expected that you will find the beach to be a very great and relaxing place to be.

This beach has three parts also referred to as Pistas tossa. You will find a long promenade on the first part of the islands where there is also other things such as restaurants, entertainment spots and facilities and shops not forgetting beautiful garden areas. The beach’s second part is more of a residential area while the third part is full of urbanization and known as Novo Sancti Petri.

Novo Sancti Petri: you will find the friendly environment on this part very impressive and the beautiful landscapes simply to die for. It is also the place where you will find well preserved native vegetation that is original and preserved dunes. The hotels here are quite modern and consist of 5 or 4 stars and well located within the white sandy beaches. It is an area which also has numerous shops from where you can get everything that you need as well as sports centers and a golf course.
